About Dr. Monica

Dr. Monica is a Board Certified Pediatrician with over a decade of experience caring for infants, children and adolescents. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Xavier University of Louisiana, received her Medical Degree from Morehouse School of Medicine and completed her Pediatric residency at Orlando Regional Healthcare. She is well respected in her community and has served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia and as Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Morehouse School of Medicine.

Dr. Monica is the founder and CEO of Premier Wellness, a virtual pediatric practice providing convenient, reliable and trusted after hours care for busy families. She is intentional about cultivating healthy relationships with her patients and their families. Her goal is to help families be happy, healthy and fulfilled. She is a mentor to high school and college students and spends a great deal of her time speaking to youth to empower and educate them about careers in the field of medicine.

She is especially passionate about fostering positive self esteem in young and adolescent girls. This passion was the driving force that inspired her to write the book, Be Unique- A Guide to Self Awareness and Self Acceptance.  It is her goal to help girls live life unapolegetically and learn to unleash their bold and confident selves.

She is the founder of Girls Growing Gracefully. an organization that curates experiences that cultivate healthy relationships between mothers and daughters. Each event is uniquely designed to build, restore and preserve the mother/daughter bond.

A wife and mother of one daughter, Dr Monica truly values the importance of family time. In her spare time, she enjoys Zumba, cycling, traveling and event planning.
